Well Friday was a busy day that started with a 6'ish roll out. The weather continues to be hot and dry with a decent breeze which made for pleasant temps especially in the late afternoons. We had Bobby and his kiddos coming for the week end and then after a large family supper Ava and Sam spent the night as well. So we had an active house hold after 5 o'clock.
After my usual routine(s) I headed out around 7:30 for the rec for some 2 hours of pickle ball. We had a full gang with 2 courts in action for most of the morning. I had a good sweat when I headed out for home on my bike. I hand watered the gardens and yards before settling in to read and catch up on some paperwork. Nancy was at her Friday morning Bible study so I had a couple hours to catch up on some honey do chores.
After a lunch of leftovers we got ready for the gang coming for the week end so we were having some cleaning chores as well as some meal prep. GG was bringing her marinated flatiron steaks which I was going to grille along with a fresh salad, green bean casserole and macaroni. The kids all headed out to the back yard after supper and played until nearly dark. They all had nutty buddies ice cream cones for dessert which was a big hit. After baths we got them settled around 10:30 all in one room and they slept all night until 7'ish this morning.
The Ray's came back the last 2 nights to win in the bottom of the 9th so that was a good ending for a change for them and their fans. It wasn't long afterwards we hit the showers and was soon headed for some horizontal lab as well. We are taking all of the grand kids to the beach today as well as watching Ava, Sam and Eliza while Amy and Tyler go to a wedding this evening. So it should be a raucous, fun day once again, LATER
