Well I must say despite the cold mornings to start the day the afternoons are splendid for the rest of the day until evening shadows arrive. We started with middle 30's and ice on the windshield and it did reach 60 for awhile during the early afternoon. It also was corporate worship day at Cornerstone after we said good bye to Patrick and Kathryn as they left a little before 9. They were meeting friends in Atlanta and spending the night before heading on down to Dade City and start packing their recently sold home.
We heard a nice message on love from Pastor B and then headed over to the Pizzeria for a rather unusual lunch for me. They all had delicious burgers and I tried the very hot chicken wings which were in all actuality too hot even for me. I paid for it around 7'ish and then again around 3 AM. I'll stick with hot and spicy next time but never the hottest on the menu. I thought I would give it a try and I did, once.
We stopped by our"mountain mom's" house on the way home with some leftovers from our cook out on Saturday. We saw her new furniture and attempted to loosen up the recliner which she has a difficult time reclining. It's new and very stiff. I got up on her roof over the garage and checked out why she was getting some water during a rain into her breezeway. I noticed some slight separation which looked new and that may have occurred during the earth quake which was my guess because it had never leaked before.
We headed home after a good visit and I took off on a hike to the top of the mountain and realized I had a tube of the good silicone caulk which I used on my roof, so I decided to head back over to her cabin and repair the roof with the caulk and then I winterized her garage as I had bought her a gallon of antifreeze used in RV's last week. I also took her and end cut of the watermelon sister Dee gave us a couple weeks ago as I knew she loved watermelon. I ate watermelon for my supper as did Carol. The melon was huge and I still have at least half of it remaining.
When I got back from Helen's Nancy was ready to hike so we took off to the top on a nice leisurely hike whereas my first hike is a power hike with no stopping throughout. We saw no one on top but the views were nice and the warm sunshine was quite pleasant. Both Dan and Carol have some health issues so Dan has hiked a couple time but Carol hasn't due to her legs. Its strange Dan has some arm issues and Carol leg issues, oh well. They watched some HGTV shows and I was on my laptop living vicariously on a sailing boat off the coast of Africa exploring the sea life and local villages. The scenery is quite the opposite of what we see here but very inviting as well. Well had a piece of pumpkin pie with a cup of tea and I did get to watch along with Dan some of the late NFL game. I'm a closet NFL'er. The Bucs won again with Brady as the QB and now are in first place in their division. The Ray's play today Monday in the next series and the winner of it will play in the big games called the World Series. That's about it
for Sunday as the weather while cold in the mornings is supposed to be rain free all week, LATER
Notice the changing of the leaves in these pics which has happened in just a couple days.
