Tuesday Morning

Well Monday was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine and temp's into the middle 70's and no humidity. Since the rec was closed for the holiday I slept in until 6:30 or tried to. Nancy had to be at the dentist at 8:30 for the broken molar she sustained on Saturday. We were planning a get together at GG's for supper before Arianne and Errol headed back to Miami later in the day.

I did my usual routines for the morning but in different order since Nancy was leaving for the dentist. After a couple microwaved eggs I decided to work on a plan for the garden at New Life Village. I put a couple hours into that and then decided to head out to pick beans for supper as well as pick sugar peas, lettuces, kale, spinach and beet greens for the salad. I cleaned all of  them and got them ready for the salad bowl. I now have cabbages ready to harvest and luckily not all of them have headed up at one time. I then hand watered and fed some of the new seedlings as well.

Well once again Nancy is having another crown to accompany the other two and then the bridge which is a crown itself. Wow this is starting to get rather expensive but thankfully this broken molar hasn't exhibited the signs of needing a root canal. The other side of her jaw is finally healing after that root canal and she has stopped using anti-inflammatory's for now. She was in some awful pain for a couple of days.

Amy brought Ava and Eliza by while she grocery shopped. Sam had school whereas Ava was off. So we entertained the two of them then she picked Sam up and we all had a lunch together. Nancy made ginger snap cookies for the kiddos and for a dessert for supper. I read the rest of the afternoon until it was time to head over to GG's. We wanted to eat early so they could get a start on their trip back to Miami at a decent time.

I fired up the grill for marinated flank steaks and Amy had a mac and cheese in the oven along with baked 'taters. Nancy had the fresh picked green beans and fresh carrots on the stove cooking as well as the fresh salad I earlier had put together. Wow what a feast and I must say delicious. There was 8 adults and the 3 little ones and we put a hurtin' on every dish. The steak was medium to rare, the mac and cheese had a slight crust and the salad was awesome with homemade Greek dressing as was everything else. After the feed Tyler and I did the dishes and the cleanup while Arianne and Errol packed and loaded the car. It was after 7 when they left as did all of us for home. Betsy was still there keeping GG company or falling asleep before she headed to Clearwater.

Well it was a whirlwind visit with them as always and we always have so much fun and eat "high on the hog". Little Eliza Faye was so cute as she wondered around trying to get everyone's remote or phone and she quickly adapted to these two new faces. I broke my diet this weekend with bread and taters but did stay true to no cookies or dessert other than a taste at the Bone Fish last night. The weather was just perfect this weekend for their visit as well. They helped GG find a 42 inch LED LG TV and now we must find a corner TV stand for her. She has it sitting on top of her coffee table. After a hot shower and a few minutes of the news which is getting to be just down right frightening with the killing of the Christians in Libya by cutting their heads off. This should frighten the world by what these extreme radical Islamist are doing to innocent people. We need someone with cajoles to step up and take charge to eradicate this scourge from among us. We certainly don't have a concerned potus as he is playing golf for three days out west on our dime, Wake Up America, LATER

Here are a few garden pictures!!!
