Well Sunday started out with a 3 AM rollout, but of course I Never sleep the night before we travel. It was rather chilly with temps just out of the 30's as we loaded up the rest of our things and I drained the pipes and put anti freeze in the sinks and commodes, turned the power off and we were out of the drive at 4 AM. It was an uneventful drive which is just what we like except when day light struck the traffic also increased so much so in Ocala it was stop and go for several miles in 3 lanes, wow. We made good time except in S. Carolina where I -95 is still just 2 lanes. We made two stops to eat and two to gas and walk and still made the driveway at home in exactly 12 hours. Not bad when you thought Sunday would be the best day to travel but its not, coming back from the cold north to the warm south, oh well.
It was unload and put the house back in order and get back on the internet which some changes had been made while we were gone and then we got take out from Outback which was delicious. We have decided to do as our friends and order 1 meal and a side salad and share the entree which was perfect for us. I didn't lose any pounds this summer despite all of the up and down the hills and my solo hikes and all of the together hikes. We just over eat and must change our habits especially the amount of food. That will be a large adjustment for Nancy as she always over cooks and I feel I have to eat it so as not be wasteful. My spare tire is huge. I even quit a beer for lunch the last couple of weeks and will stay with my glass of red wine before supper when possible.
I'll head to the rec this morning for a short stint on the PB court before running errands and getting a hair cut which I need. The heat is bearable as the humidity is low but we came from cold temps to 91 degrees as we reached home around 4. Yikes what a change and we thankfully changed from cold weather clothes to summer ones as we headed south. The house and yards were in really good shape and the garden is over grown but Tyler had weed whacked it down so it shouldn't take but a few days to get it ready for planting. The couple seedlings I brought back didn't fare well on the trip, LATER
Not sure what happened but now I can down load some pics. These were random from the past couple of days
