Well Wednesday was another busy day as I caught up on some honey do jobs after my morning workout. The weather once again was hot, dry and the humidity was back but not in full force as of yet, as the mornings and evenings were almost perfect for working outside.
I started the day with my usual roll out around 6 or a little before and Nancy slept in until sometime after 7. She is having some issues with her one knee since we worked over at Bobby's new house last weekend. I think being on her feet and up and down stairs and steps cleaning cabinets, put some stress on the joint and I believe she has a Bakers Cyst or Popliteal Cyst. They are one in the same and I know because I experienced that calamity a couple years back. It's occurs when the joint is over worked and the sac that surrounds the joints leaks synovial fluid into the tissues which causes pain and swelling. She is worried it may be a blood clot so she is off for an ultra sound this morning(Thur.) to relieve any concern. She needs to rest, ice, compress and elevate the joint as well as use some anti inflammatory OTC meds. She forgets I had this happen to me to where I couldn't walk for a week or put any pressure on the leg, at least she isn't that severe with pain, oh well!! Listen to doc Triplett???
After my usual quiet time with my Creator and the posting of this ramble and a bowl of cantaloupe for breakfast I headed out on my bike to the Rec for two hours or more of pickle ball. We had two courts in action and I had a wet shirt once again when leaving at 10. I made a stop at the library for a couple new reads on the way home. I stopped and visited with my military neighbors wife who is also a gardener. The tomato plant I gave her has set lots of green tomatoes. I dug up a rosemary plant I started from cutting as well as some marigolds and transplanted into her patch in the back yard. She has a green thumb as is crazy about learning how to garden. The cantaloupe seedlings are doing well I transplanted for her as are mine which are starting to send out runners. Hopefully they will make for whoever comes by the house after we are gone.
I harvested another half dozen or so okra's and we had them for supper along with fried yellow squash and fresh mushrooms, yeow were they ever delicious slathered with fresh basil, cilantro, ground red pepper, onion and jalapeno pepper slices for me. We made that our supper. I'm still watering twice a day as we need rain and after supper I hand watered the front yard as well as the gardens again. I have some new tomato and Zinnias seedlings up and will take them with me to the summer garden along with the other seeds that will sprout and be big enough to transplant.
I finally got 7 out of the 8 perimeter lights working in the front yard which made Nancy happy so that is one less thing to do outside before leaving. We settled into the Fox News channel and O'Reilly after supper and watering the yards. Our country is in a world of hurt with such inept leadership that I worry we may never recover from such divisiveness within the nation and now we have pandered to the muslims over christianity that their demands are becoming outrageous when we want to vet all muslims for the terrorist ties when applying to enter the country. What is with this group? We are at war with the radical terrorists who are muslims and that group wants us to not vet or check them out!! Where is common sense and now they are making a political issue about this because Trump wants US(A) to be safe from these jihadist, Wake Up folks!!
Well our Lightning play the Penguins on Friday night for the division championship in the best of seven games. That should be a good series and lets hope our guys are well rested for the game, LATER
