Well Saturday was a really nice day after the hard down pour on Friday evening. The humidity had dropped with the stiff breeze which kept it so comfortable that I sat outside after lunch under the back yard oak tree and read, weeping occasionally from Sparks book titled THE WISH. Dang he writes tear jerkers but puts so much real life situations that its hard to put down despite knowing the out come, oh well. I finished the book in just a few setting and shed many tears.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks and lift several up by name. All seem as well as I make this post before hand. We were heading out early for a dinner date with some old/new friends from S.R.B.C. to play a new game which takes some intelligence and ingenuity to get to the outcome and then eat some fare based on the country the game was played in. Its like escaping from a room that you must find the password to fulfill the ending and it took 6 of us 3 hours or more to satisfy the results with supper in between. Our kids are into this type of intrigue and I think we will order it and keep it on hand. It's not a cheap experience but one I think everyone with find interesting.
I worked outside in the gardens after breakfast and then took a nice long bike ride for several miles before having a lite lunch of humus and chips as I knew we were having a theme supper at Nancy and Brian's house sometime after 4:30. They live in Largo and have been at S.R.B.C. for 30 years or more. Their son and Bobby were in school together for 8 years at I.R.C.S. until he opted out for public school. We had a meal of yellow rice with chicken with a Spanish name, green beans and salad. Very tasty. We then sat and talked until it was close to my bedtime before heading out for home and then dropping neighbor Dan and Carol off on the way.
We got word that Bobby's team won with Gabe hitting and pitching as we weren't able to make the game. Today we join S.R.B.C. to make it our home church here in Florida and then we meet up with the Nymark's for lunch out in Clearwater. Should be a fun day as we worship and play together with friends, LATER
