Well Sunday was a great day weather wise and worshipful. We started with a 6'ish roll out to start the day and did our morning routines and after our quiet moments we got ready to head out to Tampa to the "gathering" at Element Church. We had a nice crowd with lots of new faces. We got see and hug our son Bobby and his 2 kiddos, Annsley and Gabe. The praise music was very worshipful and the message on faith & works was very insightful as well and since there is some what of a dichotomy between Paul and James between the two our message results were emphasized as "faith works". After our good-by's we headed home and had a quick lunch of salad before heading out to the local nursing pavilion to assist by pushing wheelchairs for the invalids to a small church service. Our own house church member Dan brought a short message and we sang some hymns with them as well. We really feel blessed after this encounter with these who are so debilitated.
We came back to change clothes then picked up GG for a shopping trip to Sam's and Publix. Eric, Nancy older brother is flying in from Detroit for a week before taking a 2 week trip to Italy with a group, so we stocked up on groceries then headed to the airport to pick him up around 6:30. We stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way home from the airport and feasted on a supper of fried chicken, pinto beans, fried okra, baked sweet potato with biscuits and cornbread. Nancy had the haddock instead of the chicken. Yikes was that ever tasty and we licked the platters clean as we waddled out of the place. You definitely don't leave hungry from there and I guess that is why the place was nearly full to capacity even at that hour. So much for my diet today. We had a good visit with him and a caught up on all the happenings with his 11 children and 15 or so grand children and counting.
After dropping them off it was nearly 9 o'clock so we headed home and tried to digest before turning the lights off at 11, LATER
