Saturday Morning May 2nd

Well, Friday found us waking up in Brandon as we had spent the night at Bobby's to help with caring for the boys until after supper and while its not a real strenuous job it very demanding and when your no longer in charge it like a lead weight lifted off your mind. We both were worn out after two straight days but enjoyed every minute. The boys are just so cute smiling and cooing and making their little sounds at times as well as each having their own developing personalities.

The weather has really been gorgeous for a change after that front came through a few days ago. The humidity has stayed low and thus being outside has been a real pleasure. We took the boys outside after their lunchtime feeing and placed then together in this flat basket style swing and they loved it. Both eventually fell asleep for one of their many naps throughout the day. That area of the yard was shaded and this swing is part of the tree house/play area for Anns and Gabe who joined us after lunch to spend the weekend with their dad.

I had taken my laptop so I was able to do most of my morning routines before the boys were up for the day and even had a few down moments when both were sleeping during the day. We are now giving them some oatmeal cereal by spoon and again at night some rice cereal in their last bottle before bedtime. Little Huck slept 9 plus hours Thursday night and Ryder did close to 8 before wakening for the morning feed. Both are pooping and peeing many times during the day so that part of their system is doing great. They are holding their head rather well but little Huck is so full of energy he is a wiggle worm and you must hold him tightly. Ryder is a little more laid back but both of them stretch rigorously when awakening from their naps which is usually an hour after eating and sometimes for two hours but usually and hour or less. They are still trying to keep them on schedule together which is just about every 3 hours for a feeding. The added cereals will give them a little more time between feedings eventually.

We have been bringing the lunches for the days we are there and Bobby is preparing the suppers which are so delicious. He is quite the chef and prepares the whole meal. Last evening we had pulled pork with corn on the cob and in the shuck along with an Asian style salad and Nancy made a huge pan of brownies using a little coconut oil. I do love that flavor in the brownies. We left after supper as all of them were taking a 3 mile walk and bike ride for the kiddos through their 'hood.

We got back to Seminole which seemed like we were gone for days and Nancy started on making cookie dough for tomorrow's get together with the Ross Family at Bobby's. Bobby has a brisket on his smoker over night so that should be some fine eatin' once again. We will take the kiddos to a nature park for bike riding and hiking and then come back and play games after a swim in the pool. It's looking like another great day for being outside and together with family, LATER
