Friday Morning Sept 13th

Well Thursday started out with my usual before 6 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet moments to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name, all seem to be holding with this post. The temps were a little on the cool side but the clouds at times made it feel even cooler. It did reach the low 70's by early afternoon. I spent the biggest part of the day driving Nancy to her hair appointment in Sparta where I went to the library and read. We then stopped at the Country Store for a delicious lunch before heading back on the mountain which held me the rest of the day except for an apple around 5'ish. I had a pork tenderloin sandwich with corn fritters while Nancy had a fried chicken sandwich with zucchini fries. All of which were tasty and plentiful. We did make a quick stop for a few items at the grocery and at Walgreens on our way out of town.

I piddled around the cabin doing some small chores like sowing some grass seeds, transplanting a butter fly bush in the circle drive and some small yard and garden chores. The sunflowers were all bent over so I took them out and saved the heads for seeds for next years planting. I knew not to get into a big project as we were going back to Sparta for our couples Bible study meeting at 6:45.

We have a great friendly group of about 8 couples and one made a delicious pumpkin spice cake in honor of the birthdays for this month. We know about half of the folks in attendance who use to attend Cornerstone and one couple that still do. We finally got home around 9'ish after a long talk afterwards in the parking lot. I soon hit the shower and read until 10. We are supposed to be in for some wet weather over the next few days but none came over night as predicted and then turn cooler. We have just 5 weeks to go before leaving the mountains, LATER
