Well I just spent a second night alone as Nancy is staying with her mom overnight to make sure she can get around by herself since she twisted and sprained her leg. GG is managing to walk with the help of a rolling walker and is even able to get into the bathroom which is a big relief(no pun intended). She spent the day here from mid morning until nearly 8'ish before Nancy took her home and got her settled in for the night.
The day started for me sometime around 7'ish as I slept in for a change and then again this AM is was after 7 before I finally got up. It was rather quiet around the homestead and I'm definitely sure I wouldn't want to be alone at this stage in my life. I did my morning routines that started with a cup of of hot green/ginger tea while I posted this ramble and then spent a few quiet minutes with my Creator in thanksgiving and prayer for several who are hurting. It seems Paw Paw(dad) is back to fighting the same infection that he had been on an antibiotic drip for several weeks. He needs lots of prayer but seems to have a good attitude as well as an appetite which he will need to fight this persistent infection.
I piddled around in the garden waiting for Nancy to bring GG over so I could help get her out of the car and into the house. I skipped pickle ball again and then cancelled out on the tournament for today(Thur.) The ankle seems find after a couple mornings of stiffness. I worked in the kitchen for the rest of the day hanging doors and installing the hardware and pulls. There where a few touchup areas that needed painting. Bobby came by for lunch as well as did Amy and Eliza. I have one of his floor specialist coming on Friday to give me an estimate as well as a look at some new flooring samples. Nancy wants some recessed lighting in the kitchen so I will have to speak with an electrician on the best way to run the wiring and if possible to even have them in the ceiling since our roof over the kitchen is a flat roof, oh well. Well I picked lettuces, tomatoes, kale and greens for a huge salad and along with marinated chicken breast and our first taste of half runner beans from the garden had a delicious supper. I skipped on the boxed rice dish which Nancy and GG shared.
After the cleanup they headed out for GG's house and then I settled into the FOX Cable news and after O'Reilly it was shower time for me and I soon was in the horizontal lab position, LATER
