Friday Morning

Well did March ever creep up on us as February just flew by, yikes it seems the older we get the faster time just slips away almost unnoticed. Thursday was a busy day that started with my usual routines of rolling out before 6 to a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent a few moments in thanksgiving with my Creator an in prayer for others. The update on GG is good as it is with Paw Paw and our "mountain mom" Helen. Her brother Joe is still having leg issues so keep him in your thoughts and prayers and also for his having to move out this month as his beautiful mountain top home has been sold. He worked so hard for years keeping the grounds groomed and now he will have to live in a duplex; doesn't seem right to me, oh well.

I headed out a little before 8 on my bike to the Rec. for a good solid non-stop two hours of pickle ball action on the court, yeow was I ever soaked with sweat by the time I left at 10 and pedaled home to set the sprinkler on the gardens. I wanted to give it a good soaking as I made a quick trip to Home Depot for some paint primer as I started on the bathroom vanity and cabinet mirror. Nancy has now decided the oak look is out and she wants the same look the kitchen cabinets have; stark white. I managed to use some liquid sander and then gave it a coat of primer after taping off the walls, floors and mirror. Later in the afternoon I gave it its first coat of finish paint and will probably give it two more coats before I'm finished. It really has changed the look of the bathroom already and I must admit to the good.

Amy and Eliza came for look and she is such an actress as she play acts all through the afternoon either as a doctor or ballerina; what a combo. I thawed out some sea scallops which I love but Nancy isn't a fan so I thawed out a Salmon fillet for her and then grilled them both as Nancy sauteed fresh Swiss chard from the garden. It's holding it's own since I've been setting the sprinkler which gives it a better drink than hand watering. I now have cherry tomatoes as well as big boys and the green beans are almost big enough to pick. We however will be eating out the next couple of days as we celebrate Nancy's and Sam's birthdays also neighbor Carol's tonight at Millers Ale House and then again on Monday as we travel to Brandon for Gabe's ball game. Yeow their goes the spare tire just when I got it down to 186. Oh well such joy with family and friends.

Well we tuned into the Fox News and then I hit the shower about 8 and found a movie on HBO that caught my interest on an old C-119 airplane that crashed in the Gobi Desert and eventually the passengers where able to fly it out ahead of desert killers; rather obvious but the dynamics held my attention as there was no hockey games on the tube, LATER
