Wednesday was another work day and the place is shaping up. I still have tons to do but nothing major as I await the seeds to germinate. I worked up the last flower bed and sowed seeds but did find to my amazement some marigold popping up in the bed they were in last summer. I'm wondering why that would occur especially after the hard freezes and snow here during the winter. I did also find some cilantro and dill seedling in the backwoods garden, oh well.
I also finished turning over the upper garden which I will fill with the leafy greens. I also put up a wire fence around the cucumbers plants in the circle drive in hopes Rocky the Ross's bullmastiff will not decide to lay or roll around in it. He does that in Florida. We will get him this Saturday and keep him for 2 weeks. That should be fun as he is a sweet dog but still just a puppy.
I did some small chores around the cabin and kept busy through out the day. We did take a golf cart ride after supper and stopped to chat with the Patrick's on our way to the mail box. No mail yet from Florida, oh well.
I tuned into both the Ray's game which they lost again and the Lightning game and they were getting blown out by New York in the third period in the first game of best of 7, oh well. They had been off for 9 days and were not sharp at all.
We go to Galax today and stock up at Wal-Mart and then Lowes. Both are super stores in this small town and we do most of our shopping there. The bad thing is half day is lost going and coming as its close to an hour each way, oh well. The ride on the parkway is very nice and some times we eat lunch out, but today Jake and Katelyn are coming for supper so we won't tarry, LATER
