Well it was a chilly morning on Monday but it quickly warmed up to the low 60's with plenty of sunshine. I managed a couple hours outside around 9 for pickle ball on the outside court with several other good players. We even had a visiting gal from Indiana around our ages who was a really good player. I invited to set in with us and while she wasn't quite as strong as some of us she played a really good game for a gal. She's here for 5 weeks so I invited her to play with us again.
I started the day with a sleep in until close to 6:30. The extra bed spread made for a comfy warm bed and I could feel the chill on my face. It was in the 40's outside but still some what warm in the house. I had my cup of hot green tea which was perfect on this chilly morning laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord giving thanks and lifting up several. All seem as well as can be expected as I've heard nothing different.
I grabbed an apple which is my usual morning fare when I play pickle ball and rode my bike to the Rec. Since school was out on this day the Rec. gym was being used by a camp so 4 of us set up the outside net for pickle ball and then eventually 2 more came to play. There was no wind but plenty of sunshine and the play was awesome. I had to leave a little after 11 as I had a 1 PM VA appointment for my yearly physical and wanted to shower before hand. I made a quick stop at the library for a couple new reads then headed home to hand water the garden before showering. Nancy and I shared a delicious guacamole for our lunch made with our own cilantro and fresh dill. It was so good. I headed out around 12:30 for the VA.
Well every thing was great except by cholesterol was up 33 points over the 200 mark. So I have to go back in 5 months to have it checked again. I know why it was up because I had the blood draw right after the holidays and the rich foods along with all the desserts of which I pigged out on this year. So I'll forgo the baked desserts with flour and sugar as well as the butter which I love. The HDL was good but not the LDL, Oh well. 33 points isn't hard to bring down and which keeps me from taking a script to do the trick. Everything else was in good shape and she was amazed at my age that I'm not on any scripts, Thank You Lord.
We finished up some leftovers for our supper and I did harvest a nice mess of leafy greens when I got home from the VA and cleaned them for a huge salad. I do believe eating from the garden makes a difference especially since its organic. I read for awhile and then we settled into the FOX CABLE NEWS channel until it was time to hit the shower again around 9'ish. It's so disgusting to see where the liberal dems along with the biased msm are giving honor to a butcher of our military and denigrating our Potus for taking him out. I'm truly beginning to think they are the enemy of America and we are heading for a civil war. Iran is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism in the world and the dems love them; of course since they have no guns and aren't sure of what bathroom to use this should be a no contest battle. Let's just hope before it comes to that we get rid of their sympathy for them by voting out these radical dems in the congress in November.
We got word from Bobby they took the feeding tubes out of both Ryder and Huck yesterday which is a great sign for them being released in the near future to go home. That sure would be a great blessing for all but they have received the best around the clock care at this NICU unit at Tampa general Hospital, LATER
