We headed out at 3:30 AM after Not being able to sleep; it was pouring rain through out the night on the tin roof and Nancy was sawing logs so I just got up and finished packing the truck in between rain showers. It was 62 degrees which is unheard of for this time of the year. The ride down the mountain was a bit scary with heavy fog and the leaves blowing like rain. We made great time once we were off the mountain as the traffic was very limited until we reached the south of Georgia and northern Florida. We then saw more traffic than all this summer in the mountains.
It was a hot afternoon with temps constantly in the low 90's once we reached the Tampa Bay area and plenty of sunshine and humidity. Its always sad or shall I say quite different when exiting the truck in the 'hood. I've been so use to seeing trees and no close neighbors whereas here its totally different. Ava did a super job with mowing the yard this summer with help from the whole family. The house was in great shape as well as Amy had it ready for our return. They came by for a visit after Trunk or Treat at their church and the grand kiddos have added height as well.
It's too hot to transplant my seedlings I brought back so I put them in the shad and watered them hoping they stay strong. I do have lots of garden work as well as pickle ball to take the place of the great mountain hikes, LATER
