Monday Morning August 21st

Well Sunday was another beautiful day with moderate temps and tons of sunshine it also was a great day of on line worship with both Cornerstone in Leesburg, Va. and at our S.R.B.C. church in Florida . Our local church here did something different which I found unappealing with none of the usual volunteers doing duty so the whole morning was basically boring because the sound of the pastor's voice was muted to some extent. I understand the need of volunteers but that was a poor way of showing it especially if any visitors were in attendance, oh well.

We skipped lunch out and ordered Chinese food after church and brought it home to eat as well as picked up some for Helen as well. We also brought her a bag of veggies from the garden and she was pleased as well. That lunch held us the rest of the day except for a handful of mixed nuts about dark. We decided to get into the LLWS and watched three games on TV throughout the afternoon. I did use the garden hose in the late afternoon to hand water the gardens as we could use some rain. The breeze and sunshine have really dried out the plants despite the heavy dew every morning.

I had started the day much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my usual routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD and to give thanks for another day as well as lift up several by name. We now have to add my daughter Amy who spent the night in the hospital with some weird symptoms that may require a cat scan to determine whats going on. Anyhow she seemed in good spirits when we spoke with her last evening as they needed to keep her overnight for these tests. Hopefully its treatable as she is anxious about the same heart issues that Nancy is taking meds for.

I read until dark and then listened to some old time country music on the web before hitting the shower and then reading until lights out at 10, LATER
