Wednesday Morning June 19th

Well Tuesday was another busy day with some fun thrown in for supper and then card games afterwards with friend and neighbor Steve who is here until this weekend then he goes back to Seminole, Fl. I started the day with a well before 6 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet moments to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding with this post.

I did an early morning full hike to the top of the mountain with Steve and we stopped and chatted with Billy on top at his beautiful log home on top before heading back down to a hearty mountain breakfast of fried leftover tatters, eggs and toast with a jalapeno pepper cut up in my tatters. That held me except for apple with some peanut butter until supper when Steve supplied a froze lasagna and Texas toast for supper as we supplied the fresh garden salad. He also supplied a decadent frozen pie for dessert. After supper we played Michigan rummy and some golf until 8:30 while Nancy rested from the golf game.

I piddled around in the gardens and gave the burning stumps a day off as Nancy wanted to hang laundry and with the wind shifts she didn't want the wood smoke on them. I headed up into the woods after lunch looking for lighter knot pieces and found some but couldn't find some caches I had made months ago, oh well, either I forgot where they were or limbs falling from tress had buried them. We took the golf cart on a trip to the mailbox but saw no one outside to chat with so we came back and I watched some National Geographic videos made by Bob Ballard who found the Titanic. He has some amazing footage of the Titanic, the Bismarck and the Lusitania all of which he found.

That was about it for the day as supper was delicious and the games afterwards were fun and the hike was especially great. I'm planning on doing it daily in the mornings even after Steve is gone. I did watch some of the Rays game and they were winning when weather caused a delay, so it was shower time and then some horizontal lab at 10'ish, LATER
