Well Tuesday was one of those total work days as I started around 7 in the morning after my usual morning routines and finally quit around 2 as it was just too hot outside to work any longer. I sweated through my shirt and shorts several times. The grass was so high in the gardens and even in the back yard. I'm a little put off the man I contracted with to keep the yards mowed hadn't been around the house since the hurricane came through the area several weeks ago.
Wow is it ever a change to be in such heat and humid conditions but at least the land was flat. Nancy finally made me quit around 2'ish despite having some shade from the huge oak in the back yard. I was drinking fluids like crazy to stay hydrated but was still worn out. I got quite a bit accomplished but still have a ways to go. At least the front yard and hedges look decent. Our new neighbors have a son who mentioned he would take care of our yards next year while we are gone so I won't have to face this garden overgrow each year. That will be a such a blessing. I had to take the hedge trimmers to mow the garden grasses as it was nearly waist high.
Well we had GG, Amy and Eliza for lunch and then all of the Ross kiddos as well as GG for supper. We grilled fresh squashes, asparagus, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms in our grill basket along with marinated chicken breasts and a fresh salad. Yeow delicious!!! After supper I took GG home and picked up another tank of gas for the mower. It wasn't long after a hot shower I was ready for some horizontal lab and was out by 10'ish. Today Wednesday I'm heading out to the Rec for some pickle ball around 8 for some different exercise, LATER
