Well Wednesday was another beautiful day weather wise but it did get rather hot and humid by late afternoon so on went the a/c plus we were having the Nymark's for supper and then games. It also was a work day and the bat people came back to start their project of eliminating the bats from the roof of the cabin. It was close to noon before they arrived and they worked for about 3 straight hours before running out of materials so they are coming back on Saturday to finish the job. It a mother and son team and we got to know them and they come all the way from east of Charlotte to do this job which pays well but hopefully gets rid of the bats.
I started the day with a 6'ish roll out to my routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding as I make this post. After breakfast I headed out to weed whack the entire property and then decided to mow everything as well since we were waiting on the bat people to arrive. I did do some some piddly chores and then did lend them a hand with some ladders that were heavy to maneuver around on the porch to the deck. The mom was the leader and she was up on the ridge cap without a harness installing blocking items to keep the critters out from under the roof cap with out any fear while wearing shorts. She seemed to know what she was doing at all times as her 17 year old son assisted.
After a supper of chicken ala king over biscuits that Steve prepared which was delicious we played "hand and foot" until after 9 and then Nancy and I went out on the deck and the bats were swirling trying to get back under the roof. Seems she had allowed them to exit the roof but now they were unable to get back in to their safe place, which is the plan altogether, so it seems she knew what she was doing.
We are off to Galax, Va. today to stock up for Amy and family who arrive on Friday evening for a week. This evening we are having Jake and Katelyn and family for supper with the Nymark's. I doubt we will play any games as they will have the two youngsters with them, LATER
