Thursday Morning June 8th

Well Wednesday except for the early morning hours was another wash out day with rain and cold temps. Its hard to believe this is summer time and I do miss a little of the heat because we had the heat on inside the cabin. It's cold, damp and dreary outside so it was an inside the cabin the rest of the day and evening.

I started the day with my usual routines that start with some quiet time to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. I'm still getting some lower back muscle and nerve pain but so far its manageable but we have a new man on our list who is fighting for his life in Tampa General Hospital who contracted and infection in his brain who was on vacation here from Kansas. Nancy saw on Facebook where friends of Tyler's put up prayer requests for him and his family who need some lodging while he is in the hospital; so we called lots of folks we know in hope's to assist in their crisis. There is also a GOFUNDME page to help with some expenses. They go to church with Tyler's cousin and the church is helping as well. They have 3 small children plus some grand parents with them and are in dire need of a place to stay for at least a month or until he can be released. I'll get the name of the family and post it tomorrow so we all can pray for this family. Everyone else on my list is holding.

I did head out after a breakfast of oatmeal to walk around the property, letting Rocky get some exercise as he ran around the beds and up into the woods while I checked the gardens. We didn't get in the hike up to the top because of the weather but walking around the hilly yards is almost as good and we did that for perhaps close to an hour until the rain started which lasted off and on all day and evening. The temps stayed down in the low 50's and with no sunshine it wasn't the best of days as we stayed bundled up. It was a read day with some Facebook time plus in the evening I watched the Ray's win in the last inning over the Twins at the Trop. We wanted to watch the Seminole's play the Schooners in women's softball but there was a lightning delay in Oklahoma so I hit the shower and read until lights out around 10'ish, LATER

The Name of the family who needs our prayers and support is: Collin Leckliter Family
