Wednesday Morning Mar 17th

Well Tuesday was another routine day that start with a before 6 rollout to my cup of green tea while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet moments with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting up several for healing. All seem as well as possible at this point in time. I got ready and headed out to the Rec as day light was breaking after harvesting a couple sacks of collards and kale for some of my pickle ball friends. I also harvested lettuces and collards for neighbors behind us and next door. The romaine lettuces are heading up and now with this heat and wind the soil is drying out quickly. I noticed the wind blew over a couple of my huge tomato plants inside their cages. Hopefully the main stem didn't break off as the wind has been very strong which is consistent with the month of March.

I had two good hours of pickle ball play with two courts in action and left at 10 whupped with a wet head. I made a stop at the library to return some books and pick up another new read before heading home against a strong head wind. I had to hand water a couple times as the sun and wind really dried out the gardens. I can sure tell the difference where the oak tree shaded part of the garden during the morning as  to the opposite side which gets direct sunlight until early afternoon, oh well. Nancy is constantly wanting me to cut the big oak but the shade in the hot sunshine is awesome as well as protecting the gardens during the cold months from frost.

After lunch it was too hot to do much outside so I read in the cool a/c of the house until just before supper when I headed out to hand water again while grilling some bone in pork chops. I put lots of fresh rosemary on them while grilling and oh my what a delicious flavor it gives them. We finished up some leftovers as well. I can't watch the news any longer as the corrupt politicians in Washington are ruining the country along with the cancel culture progressives. The next thing that will be cancelled is the Bible, mark my words. We are becoming a nation of absolute immorality much like the once great culture of Rome when it fell into ruins by those with the same ideology.

I did tune into the Lightning game and it was tied at 1 a piece when it was time to say night night at 10'ish. I'll check the scores later this morning. The Oak Island saga is over for this season which I will miss watching nightly. On a good note I spoke with Paw Paw and while he is suffering some memory last at 93 he sounded strong and was doing O.K. It was his middle daughter's birthday Pat who turned 65 today and he didn't remember it despite her being his sole care taker, oh well. We also spoke with our "mountain mom" Helen who is a just a few months younger than him and she still lives alone and in control of her faculties. I do think with this severe cold winter with the snow and all she will retire to Florida next winter with her son who lives near us in Treasure Island. This winter has been a rough one for her along with this virus which keeps her basically home bound, LATER
