Well Friday started out much the usual for a week day as I rolled out around 6'ish. The temps were already into the high 60's and eventually it reached the middle 80's by late afternoon and evening. The humidity is back but not to heavy as a nice gentle breeze kept it some what bearable for outside work. After my usual morning routines and a few quiet moments to reflect on the significance of this day where our Lord and Savior was crucified, I got ready to head out on my bike for the rec.
We had a large forum of pickle ball players and today was the last day for a couple of players who were heading back to Pennsylvania after enjoying daily play and of course our summer like weather. They participated in the Good Life Games and were winners in their division as well. They were in the 70-75 age group and won the gold medal in mixed doubles play for that division. They were very good players and it was a pleasure to be on the court with them despite their ages. I worked up a wet shirt before leaving the rec at 10. I was able to play everyday this week and the knee is holding up and seems to be strengthening as well.
I came back and since we weren't having anyone for lunch I decided to work outside in the yards and gardens. I trimmed the shrubs and mowed the yards and then hand watered the gardens. I took the sugar pea vines out as they had quit producing and were drying up plus they were becoming an eyesore. Nancy had taken her mother, GG shopping and it was after 1 before she got back and I was just about finished the yard work. I grilled a couple sockeye salmon fillets and she made a pot of Jasmine rice. We decided to eat out big meal early in the day as we were planning on going to the Good Friday service at Element in Tampa but she was having some tummy issues so she stayed home and just Dan and I went. The service was very intimate and honored our Lord. The praise music was very inspiring and worshipful. We had a nice crowd in attendance with lots of kiddos in the nursery as well.
Well that was about it for the day as Dan and I got back around 9:30. I was already showered so I watched a little TV before finally reading myself to sleep, LATER
