Friday Morning

Well it is hot and muggy and isolated showers in the morning which has just about ruined what's left in the garden except for the growth of the weeds and weird weeds coming up in the beautiful front yard grass, oh well. We once agin had the Cool Peoples Club minus Elizabeth and Tom here during the afternoon and then back after eating out for dessert and a game of Euchre. Not much else was going on except we booked our other airbnb for two more nights in Michigan near GG, Nancy's mom.

I slept in a little due to Nancy's chainsaw running during the night until nearly 6:30 but other than that the morning routines were the usual with my cup of green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and then spent some time with my Creator. I spoke with Paw Paw and he seemed as well as can be expected and he caught me up on some relatives whose name keep popping up on facebook. Seems he is a distant relative whose either sister or aunt was my second grade school teacher. I had never knew him but he is about the same age as myself and was from the lineage of Triplett's in the Rock Eden area of W.Va. near Gore, Va. His great grand father and mine were first cousins so we are very distant but still with same last name; his first name Renwyn is very unusual.

I piddled around the house until 9:30 then took off for the rec. where I would eventually play some pickle ball for an hour or more but the good players were scarce to say the least. I walked on the treadmill for a half hour while waiting for the gym to clear of a hundred school age kids who are in summer camp at the rec. Nancy came up and did her workout on the bike and the treadmill then we left together and came home for some lunch. The Ross kiddos are out of school for the summer but Amy was watching one of Ava's classmates for the day so they stayed away for lunch.

I spent a couple hours trying to book this one airbnb and for some reason a photo ID was necessary so we tried to figure out how to send that via the smart phone. We eventually figured it out so now we are booked for 4 nights in Michigan in August at half the cost of two in the hotel we had reserved a month or so ago and the venues look great one even has a pool and the other has horses.

The Tracy's and Botbyl's all met at our house and we headed to the new barbecue eatery called Willie Jewels in the Seminole Center. Great food and the sides are nice and plentiful. The St.Louis ribs fall off the bone and the brisket is moist. Good food and reasonable. The center has so many food outlets which just amazes me and the area is booming with real estate deals as well. What a plus for Seminole. We came back and had fresh strawberry short cake and played a game of Euchre which the guys won for a change. We are having 10 folks again tonight from our Bridgepoint Church with a spaghetti supper and then games and then again on Sunday evening another lamb dinner with just family. There goes my spare tire again but oh such fine eatin', LATER
