Well Tuesday was one of those busy all day long day's after a before 6 roll out for me. I did my morning routines that start with the cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble and lifted up several by name to my Creator and Lord for comfort and healing. I soon headed out to the Rec. on my bike for an hour and half of pickle ball play before heading home to hand water the gardens before heading out to Brandon to help Katie with the boys. Tuesday has been our regular day to help but it seems we are heading back again today(wed) for the same routine as her usual Wednesday helper is under the weather.
The boys are showing so much maturity each week as their reflux seems a little better after each feeding. Ryder was awake for the biggest part of the day with only cat naps at times but Huckston did sleep for longer naps as he is 4-5 pounds lighter than Ryder. Both boys are showing some signs of recognition with smiles and cooing sounds. Bobby had to leave this AM for Atlanta so we volunteered to come back over and stay the day.
I picked up Culver's for lunch then Katie headed to bed for the next 3 hours so she could get some sleep and rest. The boys are doing better overnight with both sleeping 2-3 hours straight in between their night feedings which allows Katie and Bobby to get some sleep and rest. The feedings are the big issues when both wanting to eat at the same time and make it known, thus causing some anxiety for Katie. She is still pumping and breast feeding as much as possible and yesterday she had both of them on the breast at the same time when we arrived. She is doing fantastic for a first time mother especially with having two at a time. We changed poopy diapers, fed the boys and spoiled them rotten throughout the day by holding and singing to them. They did great at the ball game later in the evening.
Bobby got home around 4'ish and grilled chicken breasts to go along with broccoli and a nice fresh salad for our suppers. Annsley and Gabe were there as well and I helped Gabe with his homework before supper. Bobby and Gabe headed out before 6 to the ball field for a 6:30 game and we made it just in time for the start. Gabe actually pitched a couple innings and got a couple strike outs and his team won big 15-5. It was 8:30 before we left the park and made that long drive back home among vehicles that just seem to never stop. I just can not believe all of the traffic on the interstates and toll roads at this time of a week day night.
Well I got home around 9:30 and hit the shower and turned on the Lightning game for a few as they were losing to the best team in their division 2-1. I'll check to see if they won without their star player who is sidelined for several games with an injury, LATER
Thats Gabe on the mound and again at bat with a couple pics of the "boys". They went to the game as well and did just fine.
