Well Wednesday was a stay at the cabin day except for a golf cart ride out to the mail box before lunch to check on the mail and a short visit with neighbors going and coming at the Heglar's and Patrick's. We met the daughter of Bob and Mary who has moved back home for now. The rest of the day was minor projects except for a new method of washing and waxing the truck and that was using some RainX which I had bought for the shower doors in the Seminole house and it just didn't work out there and I noticed Billy on top of the mountains was using it on his car, so I thought I'd give it a try and I like it and it did a good job thus far on the truck. I did do some weeding and transplanted the two egg plants into a different area of the backwoods patch after bring them back to life.
I started the morning with my usual 5'ish rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet moments to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing. On a sad note the family Nancy made a meal for last weekend, because the husband was not doing good passed away yesterday from his brain tumor. He was a great Believer and now there is no more suffering as he is with the Lord. We pray for comfort for the family that had several children all who are teenagers. Everyone else on our list seems to be holding.
The weather has turned beautiful here with no humidity, bright sunshine skies and in the 70's, just about perfect with 60's to start the morning. We had the cabin open until close to bedtime when Nancy closes it up and turn the a/c on due to 'bear scare, oh well. I harvested more fresh lettuces from the gardens and cleaned them and made them ready for the salad bowl. I did harvest my first jalapeno pepper for my egg and sausage burritos for my breakfast. I noticed lots of small green tomato's are set and the newly sowed green beans are up as well and will need poles in the next couple of days. The yellow squash has several small ones set as well.
I piddled around in the zinnias bed hoeing and weeding it as well as transplanting some hollyhocks which came up from seeds. We did get another pack of perennial wild flowers seed delivered from Amazon and I sure hope these do better than the Burpee seeds which didn't seem to make, oh well. I did get up the small fence around the zinnia bed to thwart Rocky who gets here on Saturday for two weeks or so from running through it and now after mowing tomorrow I'll set up another fence around the back yard gardens to do the same.
I grilled chicken thighs for our supper and Nancy used up some red tater for fried tatters for our supper. I caught some kind of bug during the afternoon from either what I ate or something as I had some tummy issues. I'm wondering if the jalapeno which was the first I'd eaten in several days affected my tummy which usually never bothers me, oh well. The Ray's played in the afternoon and finally beat the A's after losing the first two games in close games. By dark I was ready for the shower and some horizontal lab time which occurred before 10, LATER
