Saturday Morning July 13th

Well Friday was a total fun day with no work projects as we entertained family both in the food court and with tons of activities. The weather stayed dry and and even a bit on the warm side so we are thrilled we now a/c. Our box springs or should I say half of them were delivered and then a board which fits over the bed frame was installed so the kiddos did not have to sleep on the floor. Another mix up but Guynn's Furniture who was very nice about the mix up and promised to deliver the next set some time next week, oh well.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6 ish roll out to my cup of green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble, lifted several up and gave thanks especially for the safe trip of the Ross Family now we were lifting Bobby as he andKatie and the grands were on their way. Now I can report we are gong to be grand parents again as Katie is pregnant with TWINS. She is about 3 months along and is scheduled for a birthing in January. They are just now telling Anns and Gabe and they are so excited and then they told Ava, Sam and Eliza yesterday as well. We have know for some time but kept quiet because this will be her first pregnancy and being with twins makes it very risky.

Ava and Sam picked wine berries after a semi mountain breakfast and ran around running up into the woods. They were just so excited about being here and didn't know which area to venture into first. They wanted golf cart rides and several were taken throughout the day and then I took all of the grands on a huge ride after supper. We were gone so long they sent Bobby out looking for us but the grands were having a ball. We visited on top of the mountain, headed down some back trails and then stopped and played in the small creek along the Heglar property. Ann's did skin a toe on a rock but that was the only casualty for the day. The grands had made their weapons against the possibility of bears and or whatever as they were on adventures into the woods.

I did take Tyler and Sam to town for haircuts while I went to the dump as garbage mounts up quickly. We stopped at the Luffman Farm and picked up the kayaks and brought them home while the girls headed to town to mess around in some of the shops. We came back around the same time and had lunch then patiently awaited for Bobby's family to arrive. They got in around 5'ish and the celebration began all over again. The grands ran and played hard as Anns and Gabe had been in their truck since around 5 in the morning. Nancy had a huge pot of spaghetti and meat balls warming up along with a fresh salad and tons of both ginger snaps and oatmeal cookies. The grands were thrilled to have unlimited access to both. We dined out on the deck in the shade of the trees on the picnic tables and the meal was awesome.

When we got back from our extended golf cart adventure I started a campfire which of course drew the attention of the kiddo's as every one wanted their own stick to burn in the fire. We sat around telling stories and playing with some sparklers we have from years back until nearly dark. It was get the kiddos showers and a bath for Eliza then everyone else took turns to give the water heater a chance to catch up. We all had hot showers and the new addition upstairs was perfect with this many folks getting clean. Katie and Bobby used the shower in the basement as they are staying down there on a queen air mattress. It's like an apartment. Ava slept on a twin mattress in the kiddos room where all of them are bunking and then Amy and Tyler in the other room upstairs. Having the a/c has really helped with keeping everyone comfortable.

Bobby taught us a new family game where everyone played but Eliza as she is an early to bed kiddo but in this case it was past her bedtime. The game is called Mafia and the kiddos loved it. Seems he learned while visiting with the Everett cousins on a male camping trip a couple of weeks ago in Michigan. It was fun and entertaining as you had to make the case why you were being eliminated. It seems each time I received the mafia card and was on the winning team eliminating everyone else each game. By 10:30 I was ready like Eliza for bed and hit the sack, LATER
