Well Thursday was another rather nice winter day with a little chill in the air and some overcast skies to start the day but as the day wore on it became cloudless with bright sunshine and warm temps, Nancy even had the a/c on before bedtime which was mainly because of her hot flashes. I started the day much the usual with a before 6 rollout to my routines that begin with some quiet moments to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding. Now we need to keep my first grand child Ava in your prayers as she has injured her lower back and was off to see a chiropractor during the day for some relief. Not sure how she is this morning but she was hurting so bad she couldn't drive her truck home from basketball practice. Hopefully its just a pulled muscle or maybe out of alignment and she will be O.K. to play again.
We had the leftovers from our Christmas breakfast which held me the rest of the day until supper. The casserole and blintzes were still as tasty as the day they were made and I had a couple of biscuits with homemade black raspberry jelly we made last summer from our bushes on them. Delicious is all I can say. I headed out to piddle around in the gardens burying table scraps and hand watering the gardens since I didn't the day before, everything looked great thus far and the collards are ready for harvesting. I just need somebody beside myself to cook them. I finished up the ones I had from a couple days ago with my supper of ham and leftover tatter tots and they were so good and melted in your mouth. From now on I'm going to eat them after a day or two of cooking them as they seem to absorb the bacon taste and the broth is just delicious as well.
While Amy and Tyler took Ava to the chiropractor I picked up Sam and Eliza and took them to Largo and dropped Sam off for his Jiu jitsu class and then brought Eliza back home with me where they later came to get her. It was a year ago Ava got hurt with the eye injury during this tournament that is being held today (Friday) at Keswick School which we are planning on attending this morning. Hopefully Ava will be better enough to play but it seems doubtful now with her back hurting so much. She is a gamer but we will see.
We finished up some leftovers for our supper then settled into the Fox News channel until it was shower time and then some NFL on my Roku tv which gets the prime channel. It was a boring game between two less than stellar teams so at half time I turned it off and went to sleep. We did keep busy during the day vacuuming and washing clothes and hanging them outside to dry as well as just house cleaning after having two groups during the day with lots of food prep, LATER
