Saturday Morning Oct 3rd

Well Friday was rather chilly to start the day with temps in the upper 30's yikes this is winter for us flat landers with thin blood from Florida. Oh, well. Its still quite warm in Florida with temps in the upper 80's once again but they have had a few days of gorgeous weather this past week. I've been sleeping in this past week which is quite fine snuggled under the extra blanket, of course we have been burning the later hour oil with our company being here. We lose one couple come Sunday morning after they have been her for over a week and then the next couple a week from today. That gives me a couple weeks to make the place ready for winter.

I did get in a good solo morning full hike before breakfast and then again in the afternoon after getting back on the hill around 3'ish with both Dan and Patrick. It was a beautiful afternoon with just enough chill in the air to warrant an extra shirt or sweater. I don't believe it got out of the 60's for the day and this morning its 36 with ice on the windshield from an over night frost. The leaves have changed this week and it seems that full peak will be in a week or so and definitely before we leave on the 31st of the month.

The girl went to Galax once again for shopping for most of the day and it was a late start for our turkey dinner with all the fixin's which was after 7'ish. It did taste delicious with roast turkey breast, stuffing, smashed taters & gravy, broccoli and corn. Nancy has made two pumpkin pies first thing in the morning before heading out to town but we were so stuffed from the late meal we all passed on having any. I believe we will serve it today with our cook out with friends around 4'ish.

We guys took off on a jaunt to look at more places where the Tracy's can possibly spend some of their time here and in Florida. We looked at a couple rentals and they even looked at a motor coach place in Virginia. They haven't decided what they are going to do now that their house has sold near Dade City, Florida. Oh well.

They all watched a movie on Netflix which I'm not really into any longer. I'm disgusted with Hollywood and their hatred for our Potus who has been tested positive for covid and has entered the military hospital in Maryland. We had visited that beautiful place when Paw Paw had his surgery there many moons ago and those doctors and nurses were awesome folks, LATER

Our late evening supper which I must say was the best ever and just maybe because we hadn't eaten since breakfast, oh well.
