Monday Morning ---May 2016

Well Sunday was a much more relaxing day after two days of being busy at the new Triplett household in Brandon. I was plumb worn out from the work and the heat that has now enveloped the area along with the humidity. We had an awesome morning of worship at Bridgepoint Church where both Nancy and I volunteered this week; she was a greeter in the balcony and they moved me down to the main floor as an usher. We have met so many nice folks there and are starting to be something other than a bench warmer as we begin to plug to the ministry of helping others to know Christ.

I started the day with my usual internal alarm waking me despite the tired condition my body was in on Saturday night. I was so whipped I didn't hear Nancy's band during the night or maybe she to was also to tired to have the band playing(what I mean by the band is her snoring), it's a touchy situation when I mention it. Oh well!! I did my usual morning routines of a few quiet moments to honor my Creator and to lift up those I know and love as well as post this ramble. I was thinking about how time seems to be just slipping away so fast that 4 weeks from today(Sun.) we will be on the road to the cabin, wow!!!

I made a fried egg sandwich loaded with fresh garden tomato and onion for breakfast, yeow what a tasty way to start the day after my cup of hot turmeric drink. I seriously believe this herb has helped with my joint pain to where I don't even notice it unless I do something really strenuous, even the bursitis in the shoulder seems to be better. Patrick and Kathryn picked us up as we rode together; usually the six of us all ride in my truck to church but the Botbyl's had an errand to run after lunch so they drove separately. Pastor Tim had an awesome message on "selfies" or the idea that "me" is so important and that has become so prevalent in our culture. It was an inspiring message and cut right to the core that we are here to promote Christ and not ourselves to others; a little less of me and more of Him.

Afterwards we headed to Carrabbas for lunch which is just around the corner from the church. The Botbyl's are friends with one of the waitresses there and she gave us great service. We all had some thing different and it was very tasty and prepared deliciously. I never ate the rest of the day as once again they brought out the bread with the dipping oil of which I could make a meal of, oh well!!! Afterwards we settled into the Ray's game which was played very well until the manager made a pitching change and then the Jay's big bats won the game with 4 runs in the last inning, oh well sometime these managers just need to let the players play.

I picked three cukes and then set the sprinkler on the gardens as the soil is so dry and let it run for most of the afternoon until it was time to get dressed to head to SFBC to watch our grand kiddos in the children's program. Ava is so beautiful and so talented and while Sam was in the program he is somewhere in time with his attention but oh so handsome. We were thrilled that grandma Cindy got to be there to see the kiddos perform. We took GG home afterwards and then came back and I read until it was time for bed around 10'ish. I was still recuperating from the two days of non stop work over the weekend, LATER
