Tuesday morning ..Dec. 10th

Well it has warmed up again not miserably hot but by early afternoon pretty warm; the east breeze kept it bearable to be outside in the shade. The morning was delicious if I can describe it that way with a chill in the air, bright sunshine and just a whisper of air. 5 of us guys headed outside to play pickle ball on the outside court and we left after close to two hours or I did as they were still playing. I had given blood on Sunday at church and was feeling washed out so I headed for home on by bike a little after 10 with a wet shirt.

I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out to my routines that start with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric and now fresh ginger while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator and Lord lifting up several by name and giving thanks for my many blessings. All seem as well as can be expected as I've heard nothing to the contrary.

After pickle ball I headed out to hand water the gardens and piddle around feeding the veggies. I found out bone meal is a great source of phosphorus which veggies like tomato's, egg plant, peppers help keep from getting the blossom end rot and I further learned the radishes, carrots and cucumbers like the more acid soil in a range of 4-6 ph whereas most veggies like the ph of the soil to be around neutral or 7'ish ph. Anyhow I bought a bag of bone meal and applied it to those three plants yesterday and will add some to the latter three today(Tue). All of the plants are doing fine so the soil is within ranges but I wanted to make the yields larger and get faster results. An old friend of mine told me about the bone meal supplement for garlic and onions and I just forgot about it  but once I did some research I decided to try it out.

We were heading out around 4:30 to Keswick Christian School to watch Ava play basketball. Her team won big for a change and Ava played great especially on defense and rebounding. She did score some but not near as much as the last game. We decided to stay and watch a very close game between the JV boys and they pulled out the win at the end over a good team from Canterbury School in Tampa. We decided to clean up the salmon and pasta for our supper somewhere close to 7:30, oh well. I'm not one to eat this late anymore but the basketball games were awesome to watch.

Nancy is getting a root canal this morning at 9'ish so she wants me to drive her to St.Pete. I doubt I'll get to play any pickle ball but we usually start late on Tues. and Thurs. so maybe I can get in some play once we get back. We leave later in the afternoon for Tampa to attend a Christmas program at Ansley and Gabe's school. We have to leave by 3 or the traffic is so congested it takes twice as long to make the nearly hour trip. We will pick up supper at Chick filet for everyone and eat with them at Bobby's house. Well that is part of our busy schedule for today, LATER
