Well Thursday was busy with some fine southern eatin' for our supper as we celebrated Sam and Nancy's birthdays at the Ross House. I was gone in the early morning hours to the Rec. for pickle ball and then a dental appointment for cleaning just before lunch. Nancy took off to pick up her mom for some shopping and then I worked in the gardens and read before it was time to head out for supper.
The day started with my usual 6'ish roll out and then to my morning routines of a few quiet moments with my Creator before posting this ramble then heading out on my bike to the Rec. for 2 hours of workout on the pickle ball court. We had the challenge court which gave us a steady workout as the other two courts had 20 plus players waiting to get on. Today, Friday myself and a couple of the A players are trying out a new venue which is supposedly catering to only A players over in the Pinellas Park area. I will give it a try as I have to hitch a ride with someone as Nancy has the the truck for her weekly Bible study class.
Nancy had made her famous chocolate cake with white icing for her and Sam's birthday and I must say there is none finer than this cake and this icing is so good as well. We all had a piece with vanilla ice cream after the delicious meal of smoked pork ribs with a very tasty rub, collards greens from their garden and season with smoked bacon and baked mac and cheese, Yeow what a feed that was. The kiddos were all very excited as well with a stack of presents waiting to be opened. Tyler skyped with his mom in Kansas and she got to see the Sam open his presents with the help of his sisters. They were still buzzing around after we left sometime before 9'ish.
Well after dropping GG off at home we headed to the house and then the showers and settled into the GOP debate. I've never seen so much juvenile name calling and discourse between grown men who acted as middle schoolers. I was embarrassed with the antics between Trump, Rubio and Cruz. Kasich seemed to me to have the most experience and best answers with how to turn our country around but he is perceived as part of the establishment and is rather lack luster. He seems to have a good record as governor for Ohio and continually promotes his record. I actually thought he was the least childest of the four candidates, oh well! It does seem Hillary may be finding her self deserved actions coming forth in an indictment from the FBI investigation. She and Bill are slippery and always seem to find a way to escape their corruptness but just maybe they will nail them or her on this email scandal with letting our secrets be intercepted by the enemy on an unsecured server. She is such a liar that I can't stand to hear or see her face. I think most of us are so fed up with D.C. and the corruption of big government with these faces who have been there for so long and that's why Trump is doing so well with his brash talk, LATER
