Well Monday was another beautiful day but with some more heat added to the mix; it's not intolerable yet but will soon be that way by the time we head o the mountains which is just about 6 weeks or so. Not that I'm counting but around 42 days or so.
I started the day out with my usual before 6 roll out to my normal routines of a cup of tea, quiet times to honor My Creator and Lord and lift by name several and then a ride on my bike to the Rec for 2 hours of pickle ball. We had a great group with mainly good players and it was quite a workout. I left a little after 10 for home and it had warmed up beautifully, after a some what chilled ride around 8.
I piddled around in the garden and found two more of the large tomato's turning but the fruit flies had already found one and laid eggs in it so it was ruined. I must now harvest all that are starting to show any color before they destroy them. We were heading down to Snell Island to visit and have lunch with some nephews and nieces who were visiting so I harvested collards, Bibb lettuces, Swiss chard and Kales for them. They have a beautiful place very modern but well done on this very expensive piece of real estate. Our whole family except for the twins were there to visit and for the kids to play. Megan had Publix deli sandwiches, chips and dips as well as a delicious home made carrot cake which was awesome. Arianne was there with her two boys, Anthony and Oliver from Miami along with husband Errol.
We visited and ate until 2'ish then headed out for Seminole. It was after 3 before we got home so I harvested some Bibb lettuce and kale for Amy and then we settled into read until 5. We ate late for lunch and so we decided just to have a salad for supper. I made a fish spread from the smoked mackerel which held me the rest of the evening. I tuned into the Ray's game and they looked anything but good against the Red Sox. It looked as if the Baylor team was blowing out Gonzaga in the NCAA final game. After a hot shower I was ready for some horizontal lab at 10. LATER
