Well Sunday was an awesome day both in worship and temp wise. I started the day with an early wake up in a spare room as Nancy's snoring was so profound I could not sleep, so I headed to the spare bedroom of which I never was able to go back to sleep, anyhow I survived to live another day. The temps were on the cool side to start the day but eventually warmed to t shirt and shorts attire by the time we left the church around 1'ish after a luncheon for all the volunteers who make things happen without the staff's help on Sunday's and even during the week on Wednesday's. It was a taco theme meal with lots of homemade dishes and Nancy baked and brought her signature chocolate cake with white icing which went fast.
I had started the morning with some quiet times to honor Jesus, give thanks for another day and then lifted up several who need comfort and healing, all are holding with this post. I soon headed out to hand water the gardens as I knew it would be late before we got back from church and then in time too hear Gary Hamrick speak at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, Va. He and our local pastor at SRBC are fine speakers and do a great job with scripture interpretation. We are a large congregation church with two services on Sunday running probably 1000 or so in both combined services and our campus is large with tons of groups especially for all ages but a big emphasis on the children and youths who are really your next church's existence. We love greeting folks especially new believers and first time attendee's. I've yet to meet very few strangers which is a gift from GOD.
We dropped off Dan and Carol and then headed home to unwind and watch the hapless Bucs play terrible football in the cold frozen north of Buffalo, N.Y. They were horrible to say the least and but still are leading in their weak division, oh well. It was football until bedtime for me and I skipped any supper except for a handful of mixed nuts. Today Monday will be another busy day as I'll hit the courts at 8 for an hour or so then drive Nancy north to a doctors appointment which is a good half hour or more away and then we will ride with Tyler to watch Eliza play basketball in Tampa with the school and then back home hopefully before dark, LATER
