Monday Morning

Well Sunday found me up early and out on my bike to the SPC for the 6 AM load in for BridgePoint Church. It was hot and muggy but we got it done despite the loss of one of our best workers as we moved him on Friday for his complete move to South Dakota. I was back at the house by 7:30 to get ready to head out at 8:15 for our morning briefing of the volunteers for the day and we had 75 plus in attendance just for that meeting. Tim our lead pastor started a new 10 week series titled "Road Trip" and its available on line at our website which is archived; what a fabulous speaker. We are reaching our community to help folks get closer to GOD and just this week we had four first time families to attend. I worked the parking lot both services and we have a special spot for first timers as they are indicated by entering the parking area with their flashers on.

It was close to one before we got back home and had a lunch of deli turkey on a wrap. We were having a huge supper of roast leg of lamb which was perfect along with smashed taters and lamb gravy which is the best ever, fresh broccoli and a salad and Amy made the most delicious cheese cake with fresh strawberries and whip cream. It's no wonder I've picked up nearly 5 pounds this last week with all of the dinners out, dinners in with friends and families almost every night this past week; but it sure was delightful as we won't see some of these folks until next November.

Bobby and family came and we won't see them until July when they come for the cabin. Both Katie and Tyler fly out to the D.C. area for their respective companies; Katie this morning and Tyler later this evening. Each will be gone at least two nights so we will entertain the Ross gang while he is gone. Now that all of the dinners are over with I can get back to readying the house as well as start to pack for the move to the cabin next week. We are late this year as first it was Eliza's dance recital and now it Ava's minor surgery on the 12th and then we are off on the 14th finally. Everyone headed out around 7:30 so we put the house back in order and watched the Legends & Lies show On Fox Cable about the killing of Lincoln for an hour then I hit the showers and was soon ready for horizontal lab. The sun and humidity took it out of me while working the parking lot this morning plus the early wake up, LATER
