The day started much the usual with a before 6 roll out for me. I was excited about getting back on the PB court after a month's layoff. I did my usual morning routines of a few quiet moments with my Creator and then the daily discipline for personal growth. I had my usual cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while posting this ramble and then an apple for breakfast before pedaling out on my bike for the REC. We initially had 4 players but as the morning progressed we had a total of 14 players when I decided to leave around 9:15. I had worked up a good sweat as well which I needed.
The air was a bit nippy when I rode out so I had an extra thick flannel shirt but by the time I got ready to leave it had warmed up at 10 degrees or more with the bright sunshine. We had some rain on Sunday night but the sandy soil required a hand watering. The recently transplanted onions where looking good as was the leafy green veggies with this cooler temperature. I checked the beans and decided I needed to start picking the larger ones and was surprised at how many I gathered. Each bean plant must of had 30 -40 little beans in varying sizes so I just picked the biggest ones an got a colander full, enough for a couple meals. I even ate a raw one which has a distinct flavor. Ava and Sam love them raw over the cooked ones.
Nancy took off shopping with her mom so I spent the afternoon reading and catching up on some small honey-do's. We decided to clean up the leftovers for supper so all we had to do was microwave our plates with the last of the pork roast and sauerkraut. They were still very tasty as the day we prepared them. After the clean up which was little to none we spoke with our "mountain mom" Helen to check on the weather there in the mountains. They had a dusting of snow which was blown away by the strong wind but the temps were into the 20's. The wind made it feel even colder with the wind chill.
Well I see where our less than honorable potus is now trying to limit US with our gun purchases and he eventually wants to take away the second amendment to our constitution with an executive order. I find it rather amusing that he wants to let thousands of muslims into the country who could be potential radicals terrorists and at the same time disarm us. Why is not this man impeached from this office along with all of the other lies about his less than honorable executive orders he has issued. The USA is now a laughing stock to the world and deemed weak by the Russians and Iranians who want to see US fail and now are openly violating shady backroom deals this potus and his administration have saddled us with. Why have the watchdogs in the mainstream media covered for this inept potus and only the FOX NEWS cable has the sense to tell us the truth. I'm truly saddened to think the left or the liberals would want our nation to fail and be infiltrated with another sovereignty. It's down right scary and disheartening that political correctness has replaced common sense in our country.
