Thursday Morning June 16th

Well Wednesday was another hot day here on the mountain with higher humidity than normal. We spent the day after running into Sparta to grocery shop for the nights next two suppers as the Ross Family was due in around 6'ish. The rest of the day was getting ready for them.

I took Rocky for an early morning hike after my usual morning routines that start with some quiet time, giving thanks for another day and lifting several up by name. One of our close friends who has has some severe health issues the past couple of years here now has some mental issues as she ended up in my home town several hours away and has no idea why she went there. It's time to take away her car. Luckily she survived as that is not an easy drive through the mountains and with all of the truck traffic on that route.

I hand watered some of the new veggie seedlings as they are holding despite this heat and dry conditions. We took a golf cart ride to the top after locking Rocky in the cabin where he spent most of the day in the a/c. It got up to 90 on the back porch which is a rarity for here but did cool down after sunset to make it bearable for the kiddos as they ran and played with Rocky. Nancy had a huge supper for them with almost half left for leftovers when they leave Friday morning for Seminole. They had no issues coming from hot Kansas except the a/c in the car which is still not functioning properly. Hopefully it will get them home to Florida and back in the shop.

We tuned into the Lightning game in Colorado and in over time the Lightning lost by a goal. They played well after being down two goals a couple times to tie and go into sudden death. The Ray's lost to the Yankees as well. Not a good night for Tampa Sports teams, LATER
