Well it was another hot and muggy day here in Central Florida with still no rainfall. I had to water the gardens twice today. The temps were in the middle 80's but at least there was a breeze. It wasn't a good evening in the Bay Area for our sports teams as both the Lightning and the Ray's lost to teams from the northeast.
I started the day much the usual with a before 6 roll out. Nancy had her band playing for most of the morning so I gave up and got up. I don't think there is any cure for a snorer except maybe change rooms during the night. I'm hoping once we get to a higher altitude that maybe that will help; anyhow after my morning cup of hot turmeric drink and a few quiet moments with my Creator I posted this ramble and had a breakfast of fresh fruit and cereal. I headed out on my bike to the Rec. for some two plus hours of pickle ball. We had a larger crowd today with enough players for the winners to split. I worked up a good sweat before heading out after my tank was on empty around 10 with a stop at the library on the way home.
I got a load of laundry out on the clothesline then set the sprinkler for one side of the garden as it needed a good soak. I picked a couple more cucumbers as they are maturing almost overnight. Nancy was off to the x-ray imaging facility for a picture of her thyroid to see if there was any change. She is on a thyroid prescriptions so every year they do a picture check. Afterwards she took her mom, GG to Clearwater Mall for some shopping and then had lunch out. I had a bowl of leftover Zuppa soup GG had given me for lunch and then we had grilled chicken on a bed of garden fresh salad for supper. I read the rest of the afternoon until Nancy got home.
Patrick called and set up a meeting at the Botbyl's house to watch the Lightning game on their big screen TV so we headed up at 7 to watch the game. The Lightning have been off for 5 days and they were not sharp especially their goal tender who allowed 4 goals in less than two periods. They eventually pulled him out of the game and then the team came back and scored 2 goals late in the last period but to no avail. The Ray's also gave up the long ball and lost their game on one swing of the bat to Baltimore. I spoke with my old friend Walt Hampton while we were waiting to eat and they seem to be doing fine. He is still having some health issues which go along with growing older and their grandsons are quite the athletes now.
Well that was about it for the day except I need to replace the handles on the shower knobs in our bathroom as one gave way last night after showering. Nancy is off with her mom today, again to the mall as she gets ready for a trip to Michigan in June and we get ready to head out the end of May, LATER
