Easter Sunday Morning

Well Saturday felt as if we were on vacation as we did several vacation related get together's. We took off for the beach around 10 after our morning routines and quiet times. It was going to be a perfect outside day with temps into the middle 80's with lots of sunshine and clear skies and the humidity wasn't overly harsh. A light gentle breeze kept it very comfortable even in the direct sunshine.

After a lite breakfast I loaded up the beach chairs, umbrella and sun screen and off we went to Indian Rocks Beach to meet up with Patrick and Kathryn whose beautiful 3 story condo is located a stones throw from the Gulf Of Mexico. They had their beach wagon loaded and we added ours to the load and off we went across the road and onto the beautiful beach which was already occupied with several other sun lovers. We slathered the tanning oils, sun screens and donned the sun glasses as we set up camp for over two hours for Nancy and I. The Tracy's were still on the sand with their beautiful daughter Lauren who came from Tampa for the week end. Patrick and I got in a couple games of Boccie Balls after a nice stroll up the beach and then a swim in the refreshing wave less water. Kathryn had prepared delicious sandwiches for the 5 of us for lunch so we were set until we decided we had to head out for the house around 1:30. I came back and sprayed off with garden hose then washed the truck under the big oak.

We had another vacation like occasion to attend around 4 at the Anderson House(Neal and Danielle) on Lake Seminole. It was our friends, Dan and Carol's 40th wedding anniversary celebration. Our son Bobby was preparing the food as well as several of us brought dishes to accompany. Bobby made pulled pork tacos, guacamole, salsa, black beans and rice along with all the fixin's. We had jalapeno poppers, layered taco dip and chips as well as cakes and cookies. Amy and Tyler had all of their kiddos there and then Neal took us all out on the lake for some wake boarding, barefoot skiing and then a nice long boat ride up the lake for a couple miles. The ambiance was just beautiful and we had a great time with family, friends and neighbors. Several were on the water behind Neal's awesome powered ski boat and while I didn't get in the water several did. Ava and Sam got their first boat ride ever and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Around 8'ish some one mentioned playing games so I headed home to pickup the game Bauderdash and we had a hoot with this game for the next couple hours until nearly 10 PM with about 10 or so of us. The folks with kiddos all headed out as it was bedtime for them around 7:30. The Anderson's two hugh gentle Great Danes entertained at times with their antics and they are big as ponies. It was such a great time of laughter, eating and boating as their dock is right on the lake.

Well after a hot shower I flipped on the TV and watched a scrappy Wisconsin team beat the undefeated Kentucky team in the final four. Duke will next play them and they will have their hands full. Wow what a good close game. It wasn't long until it was lights out for me. Today we will head over to Tampa for our regular Easter morning gathering and then we will have the family including Annsley, Gabe, GG, Betsy, Braden and Amy's family for a supper of ham and all the fixin's. We will hide Easter eggs for kiddos in the back yard and of course Nancy has each of them baskets filled with clothes and other high energy producing goodies. Happy Easter to all and lets not forget that our Creator gave each of us the gift of Jesus. It's a gift that will change your life forever as we celebrate life over death with the empty tomb, Blessings to All. We watched the "blood moon" come up over the lake and it was eerie as we know about the prophesy surrounding Israel, LATER

Here are a few pictures that we made to help Dan and Carol remember the joyous occasion with family and friends.
