Monday

Well Sunday turned out to be a rather nice day after a chilly start. It reached the lower 70's by late afternoon and the sunshine was welcomed after several days of overcast and rain with low temps into the 50's for a high. We started the morning with me still having that balled up muscle in my lower back which occasionally sends shooting pain into my thigh and leg. I did manage to attend church in Tampa at Element and the walking around felt good at times. I'm just so surprised the OTC pain relievers haven't made a big difference. I use my hand held ultra sound machine and along with exercises, massages and sports creams I can't get rid of the knotted muscle. These methods do give some immediate short term relief but the hard knotted muscle is still there so I need to get some muscle relaxers from a doctor. So its off to see one today if possible at the VA, oh well!!

Bobby had a great message on Sunday using the analogy of a cracked vessel(us) and how GOD can make something beautiful from it when we allow HIM to fix or fill in the cracks. The praise music was awesome as well. There were some new faces in the crowd and lots of babies and kids. Afterwards we headed out for home with Dan riding with us as Carol was under the weather. He and Nancy headed for the nursing home later in the afternoon for the twice monthly church service to push wheelchairs. I thought it best to not help with that function due to the back ache so I vegetated on the couch watching the Olympics until it was time for supper. Afterwards I soaked in a hot tub and then Nancy gave me a good ultra sound workup and I headed to bed to read. I did manage some sleep during the night but that constant ache in the lower back kept me tossing and turning for a favorable position to alleviate the discomfort. Well I hope I can get some relief today in one form or another. I suppose my pickle ball days are over for now until I find out what caused this anomaly with my back muscle. That would sure be a hard pill to swallow if I had to give up that form of exercise and activity, LATER
