Tuesday Morning Oct.1st

Well its another month and summer is quickly leaving us for the fall season and in some parts of the country winter has set in with a huge snow fall already. The temps are supposed to drastically change in the next couple of days and the welcoming heat which we will face the end of the month will soon be upon us. We have 26 days until we pull out for Florida; but yesterday Monday was a rather nice one which saw us with a really good soaking rain in the early afternoon.

The day started much the usual for me as I rolled out to my 6'ish routines that always start with a cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I post this ramble, spend of quiet time with my Creator giving thanks and lifting up several by name for comfort and healing as well as our Potus Trump and those who love out nation and want the best for US(A). I also pray those who are corrupt and in the swamp(congress) are exposed for all to see of their duplicity and egregious behavior. All of those I mention for healing are holding their own as I've heard nothing to the contrary.

I took off for my first hike of the day before breakfast shortly after Nancy got up. I'm back into the at least two a day hikes up the steep back trail to the top and then when she hikes we walk across the top and back down. We did get in an extended hike with her before supper and after the initial big rain around 4'ish or so. We came back and had a great supper of smashed taters, kielbasa and sauerkraut, delicious. We has some leftover kraut and some taters from sister Dee's garden that needed used and what a perfect tasty meal. Nancy baked the meat in the kraut for about an hour and oh my what flavor, oh well. We ate salad for lunch after a lite breakfast of fruit and a muffin. Thankfully they are all gone but they were a delight for our guests over the weekend.

I worked on the garden/yard spreader which had a broker knob that moved the lime/fertilizer around before exiting down onto the lid that flipped the material out and around. Seems the plastic pencil size bolt had broken so I carved out a wooden bolt to go between the flipper and stirring the material inside the body so it would exit down through the opening. Everything is plastic which is cheap and works for awhile. I'm hoping this wooden plug/bolt will hold much longer. I have plenty of plastic fencing material which I use on the porches and decks to keep little ones from falling through the openings but I will need extra posts to keep the deer out from the hydrangeas and black raspberry bushes when we leave the end of the month. I'll cut the berry vines back to the ground in hopes that will help with their production next summer as well as help with getting some flower on the hydrangeas around the front porch. I will need to cut more posts and insert them in the ground as well as clean out Kimberly's stables for the manure. These will be two rather big jobs which is all I have left for this summer, LATER

Nancy took a couple pictures of the upstairs new renovation of the bathroom as we added a shower, a cupboard for storing towels, etc. and the tile work in the shower.

Also on a business note this being the first day of the month everything is BOGO on this day ONLY in our store at Amway. Check us out at www.amway.com/JNTriplett....stock up on the those organic made in the USA vitamins and supplements from Nutrilite. I've been using them for years and they do make a different.
