Well I must say there could have been no finer day to be out an about with the bright sunshine which eventually warmed the air to a mild 60's with beautiful Carolina blue skies and a very slight breeze that kept the falling leaves from spiraling straight down to the ground. I'm sad to say that many of the trees are already bare and the backwoods yards are covered with the fallen leaves while several trees still have lots of green leaves. I think the over abundance of rain may have caused an irregular "peak" to occur this year. We headed out around 9:30 for our corporate worship at Cornerstone Fellowship near Sparta. It's been over a month since we were last in attendance and we did worship each Sunday while we were away in different venues which started with the Calvary Chapel in Truckee, California to First Baptist of Riverview in Florida and now back to North Carolina. We were made to feel welcome where ever we gathered and we just love meeting new folks and to know throughout this land there are still lots of folks who call this a Christian Nation despite the unfounded lies our potus spreads.
Pastor B had a great message on Grace and the praise music was awesome as well. We were warmly received by all and many were sad to think we had gone back to Florida for the winter. We hope to be here for another 3 Sundays before we say goodbye for this year. We met up with our friends Sam and Macia at the pizzeria for the buffet lunch which has a great salad bar, a hot bar and delicious pizza. Needless to say I was satiated for the rest of the day except for a cup of hot green tea around 6'ish. We chatted them up until nearly 3 PM before getting back to the cabin. We decided to take a hike to the top of the mountain and the tall buildings in downtown Winston-Salem were quite visible as the sun sparkled off them nearly 70 miles away. We made a cabin stop at the Clines as she had left some bananas on top of their fridge when they left a couple days ago and wouldn't be back for some time. We took care of that and we will have the fruit in our buckwheat cakes this morning. We saw no one else on top so we headed down the mountain.
I vegetated in front of the tube and watched both football and baseball until it was shower time some time around 9'ish. I did learn the Bucs won and there were a few upsets as well. The Royals won as did the Jay's which were on the cusp of being eliminated in straight games. Well it looks as it Nancy's mom, sister and niece will be making the trip from Florida next weekend for a week. Wow that should be some good eatin' and some game playing at night. We always enjoy company as we love to entertain. We sang Happy Birthday to our granddaughter Annsley over the phone as she celebrated her actual day of birth at 8 years, wow where did that time go. It seems she is learning to sew as well. So far the dual care by her divorced parents isn't affecting either of the kids ability to have a somewhat normal life and we are thrilled as best we can be. Well that was about it for the day so tomorrow is supposed to be just another beautiful day with cool temps to start the day. So far we have had to only use the portable heater to keep the cabin toasty, LATER
