Monday Morning in Seminole

Wow, its so good to be back home again even if its hot, humid Seminole. I would rather be in N.C. at the cabin where its in the high 50's to start the day and end with the high 70's all the while looking at all things natural outside from within the cabin. We are still planning on a trip there around the 10th or so as Bobby and family are coming for a week and then I want to visit Paw Paw up in Winchester while we are that far north of Florida. Other family members are going to have to step up and stay with GG or at least visit her until we can get back to Florida later on this summer.

We headed out about 9:15 to visit with our church family and to worship at BridgePoint Church in Seminole. It was good to be welcomed back and we heard an awesome message on the Old Testament book of Esther. Afterwards I rode home with the neighbors while Nancy headed to the grocery. After she got back we had a sandwich then she headed out to look at two facilities with Betsy for GG if and when she gets released from the hospital in Miami. They found a very nice one in Largo which is so much closer to home than Miami. Hopefully we can get her back here and into rehab but that is going to be a long drawn out ordeal as she hasn't been on her feet to speak in over 6 weeks and no nourishment in her mouth or throat since the operation. She is on a feeding tube but the swelling of fluids throughout is really holding her back for a release.

Well we met up with friends and family for a 40th anniversary celebration in Tampa for our dear friends Patrick and Kathryn. It was a cook out/pool party at one of the palatial high rises in down town Tampa where their daughter and new husband reside. There were 30 to 40 folks there with plenty of burgers, dogs and ribs as well as side dishes. We got to meet his side of the family and they were very nice as well as many of their friends. We had a hot game of volleyball in the pool for an hour or so which was quite refreshing. It was after 7 when we broke up and headed home. It wasn't long after getting back to Seminole the sandman calleth around my normal bedtime of 10'ish when I was introducing myself to some horizontal lab. Nancy had gone to the Botbyl's to visit with her friend Carol who suffered a slip tearing her hamstring last week and had to forgo the celebration in Tampa, LATER
