Well Friday was a perfect day weather wise with blue skies, no humidity and temps in the 70's with a slight breeze. Wow what a day for being in the mountains. I started the day out much the usual with a 6'ish roll out to my cup of tea while while I posted this ramble and then some quiet time with my Creator and Lord in thanksgiving and lifting up several by name. Nothing has changed with those I lift up daily so maybe thats good news or I've heard nothing to the contrary.
Rocky slept good throughout the night and during my morning post until Nancy graced us with her appearance sometime after 7. Rocky goes all out with his joy in seeing her come out of the bedroom. He ate good yesterday and even wanted more than his allotted two feedings. I think the CBD gummy's are helping with his back leg as he is not limping as much of course we aren't chasing him around the yards like the kiddos do but walking him with short trips into the back woods and the back trail which he loves to explore.
We caged Rocky for a couple hours and headed to Sparta with stops at the library which is a very nice building and just loaded with reads. We brought a sack full home to keep us busy while entertaining Rocky. We then made a stop at Food Lion and then another at Hawks produce and plant nursery for more bedding plants and more cucumbers and a rosemary plant before heading home. I did manage to repot the cukes into larger containers as they were root bound and will leave them in the pots until Rocky leaves next Sunday. He loves to venture into the gardens especially where I've new seedlings and plants maturing, oh well.
We took and early evening hike after caging Rocky for about an hour. We saw only Billy who lives there permanently as everyone else was gone. We did see a large black snake near where I killed the copperhead last fall and that the old fence as you come up the hill towards Brenda and Fred's place had been restored. It's true the place is going on the market and I'm sure for big bucks. Well that was about it as we had a large breakfast and a huge fresh salad for lunch so we just had a few cold cuts for supper as neither of us was hungry. I did tune into the Ray's game in Texas and they lost again for only the second time in many games, LATER
The many faces of Rocky
