Well Wednesday turned out to be another stifling hot day with the return of high humidity, yeow I am ready for some cooler temps and while we did have some freezing weather and ice in October at the cabin I'm definitely ready for something in the 60's. We didn't have anyone for lunch today so it was rather quiet around here so we took off to do some shopping in the afternoon for groceries and some early Christmas shopping for the grand kids.
The morning started with my usual rollout around 6'ish and then my routines of a few quiet moment and then the posting of this ramble before a lite breakfast of just a crisp apple before riding out to the REC for nearly two hours of pickle ball. I'm finally starting to get back into shape stamina wise with daily PB but I'm still lugging this spare tire of about 7-8 pounds extra pounds despite eating lightly at times. I'm trying to get back to where I was before the summer and that's about 180. We had a smaller turnout today with just two courts in action and it was mostly B players but still I had a good workout. I stopped off at the library for couple new reads before heading home.
I piddled around in the garden hand watering and then I transplanted some Zinnias seedling. The carrots are really showing some color and the beans, peas and radishes are leafing up as well. Two different kinds of lettuces are sprouting as are the extra kale seeds breaking ground. The Swiss chard is doing so well along with the beets I brought back from the cabin that I'm picking their tops today to add to our salads and do they ever add such flavor and color.
Nancy took off to the REC for her workout on the treadmill. We both are working on our spare tires of which we added to this summer with all of our entertaining and being entertained with some fine cooking. That really hasn't stopped since we got back to Florida either, oh well!!! I grilled marinated chicken breast slathered with fresh rosemary and garlic for supper along with fresh broccoli and a salad. After the cleanup we settled into the Fox News cable channel and learned this JV Isis team is really wrecking havoc on the world and we have no leadership among us here in the states. Trump is right we have a bunch of idiots and incompetent people in our government and the biggest is the potus. Trump is very bombastic but speaks the truth and can't be bought by the special interests and crooks. So I really think we need an outsider from the corrupt government in D.C. , LATER
