Saturday Morning

Well it was another hot muggy day here in sunny Florida which is par for the course this time of the year. I'm just shocked its been this nice up to this date which usually starts in late March with the heat and humidity. We were at Sam's school concert at 9 AM so there was no pickle ball to day and then afterwards I got my ear's lowered after dropping Nancy off at the house. She then took off to mall after I got back. I had a bite of lunch when she left then headed out to work in the yards and gardens.

I did my usual routines to start the day which was a little after 6 instead of before 6 for a change. I had my cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric and fresh ginger while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet moments with my Creator in prayer lifting up many by name as well our Potus Trump, the military and those who wear the badge. My close associates and family seem to be doing well as I've heard nothing to the contrary and while I miss the physical activity on the court I got plenty in after lunch with the lawn mower. I took the blade off and sharpened it for Ava when she comes to mow the yards this summer while we are gone.

I mowed both front and back yards and then pulled weeds in the garden which seem to be not affected by the high heat and humidity. The crab grass especially is tough one to pull out of the ground so I used a shovel to loosened them as well as another what we use to call a hog weed. It is very proliferate and grows rapidly over night with seeds on the stalk and the hogs use to devour them on the farm. I had a solid wet shirt by the time I was finished and was ready for a cold drink.

Nancy got back from her shopping trip and I spent the rest of the afternoon on the computer or reading. I need to make some lists of chores to do before we head out, articles to pack as well as clean out some cabinets. We are both getting excited about the short time we have left before heading out on the 3rd of June. We have lots of dinners and sleep overs with the grands as well before then, LATER
