Well it was a sleepless night in Seminole for me as that molar that I had crowned went south and in a big way. I did learn one thing when having a major procedure done on a tooth is to never have the work done when the dentist office is closed for the next three days. It's been at times a throbbing painful experience. I'm sure I will need a root canal come Monday morning or else an oral surgeon to extract this molar. Never would I have thought this could go bad so fast, oh well.
I actually thought about pickle ball Friday morning as the pain wasn't that intense and I did get some sleep after midnight which a good dose of ibuprofen; as a matter of fact I didn't take any pain reliever until around 2 in the afternoon on Friday. I thought this is great and I will be back with only minimal pain which I can stand. Nancy thought it best to rest and skip the activity at the rec so I finished GRAY MOUNTAIN by Grisham. Wow great read. I gave it to GG to read as she had it on order from the library when she, Amy and the kiddos all came for a lunch of homemade vegetable beef soup. I played with Eliza and Sam and then layed around while Nancy did her walk through the hood and started a new read by Pelecanos.
I did head out to pick fresh sugar peas for supper of which Nancy once again had fresh asparagus and mushroom in a stir fry over Jasmine rice. That is one of our favorite's and it's rather soft so it would be nice for the tooth and gum area. I however never ate on that side of the jaw. Supper was delicious and after the cleanup we settled in on the couch to watch FOX News. I found the Lightning hockey game so I hit the showers and then tuned in to see Tampa beat up on the Chicago team. I flipped a little between the Gold Rush show and the game and must have fallen asleep as Nancy awakened me sometime before midnight.
Well at 2 AM this morning I was awakened by some very strong throbbing pain on the left side of my face and headed out to take a small dose of ibuprofen which didn't seem to make any difference so at 6'ish I took an even larger dose and that has finally taken the edge off of the throbbing pain. I'm at a loss of what to do about this tooth but I can't live this way. I have a couple grand already invested in the tooth and if it needs a root canal that's another grand and then there is always the possibility it may need pulled which is another several hundred, yikes!!! I'm beginning to wonder if I really need all of these molars to eat; maybe I would lose some weight if I didn't eat so much, oh well!!
Tomorrow Sunday we are celebrating Nancy's birthday at GG's with a family supper and are bringing Annsley and Gabe back to Seminole with us after church on Sunday so they can play with Ava and Sam and this evening we have a supper out planned with the Tracy's at a bistro on the beach and then card games afterwards. I sure hope this tooth stays calm and as of right now it has calmed down considerably, thankfully.
The past couple of days the skies has been overcast with cool temps. I've heard the heat come on several times during the night. The fore cast for next week is sunny skies and temps in the low 80's, yeah!! I'm ready for some warmer less humid weather, LATER
