Well I'm finally getting around to a post about Saturday as I was up at 5'ish this morning due to the load in at BridgePoint Church, so here I am after a long day already. Saturday found us up early or at my usual 6'ish roll out. I had a grinder for the tree stump coming at 8'ish and we had to leave by 9 ish to pick up Amy, Sam and Eliza as we were heading to Tampa for Gabe's baseball game. It was down right chilly to start the day with temps in the upper 50's with a nice breeze.
I did my usual morning routines that started with the cup of hot green tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then spent some quiet time with my Creator. We had a lite breakfast before getting ready to head out. I had cut some fresh lettuces and made a huge salad to take with us to Tampa as we were having lunch with Bobby and family and then Katie's folks came to lunch as well along with her grand dad. I also brought enough garden green beans for a nice mess as well. We stayed until nearly 3 o'clock letting Sam and Eliza play in the heated poole area with Annsley and Gabe. The traffic was terrible on the way back with the interstates clogged with such high volume. It took us almost two hours to finally get home.
The tree trimmers where still in the back yard finishing up with their job. They really gave the tree a nice look and hopefully it will not be such a problem with limbs clogging up the yards if we have another storm this summer. They earned their money and now I have to get rid of the huge pile of mulch from the tree stump as I need to start on getting grass to grow where the old oak once stood. This grinder was a an unbelievable piece of machinery as it would grind down a house it was that big and versatile. The operator used a remote control and the blade moved up and down as well as back and forth. Well it was sad to no longer see the big oak and already I can tell a difference with the lack of shade no longer on the house and the a/c is running, oh well, LATER
