Well Thursday started out with low lying rain clouds after a night of some heavy down pours. I managed to get to the rec on my bike in between the last big shower which was welcomed by my garden and yards. It seems this time of the year we have very little rain fall until the summer months.
I started out the day with the usual before 6 roll out and then my routines of a few quiet moments before heading out for my 2 hour workout on the pickle ball courts. We had mostly A players today and the games were filled with extended rallies and great play. What a workout and I was completely done in by 10 AM with a sweat soaked shirt. I stopped off at the library on the way home and finally received my long awaited book by Bill O'Reilly KILLING PATTON. Wow, what an awesome read so far as I'm about half way through the read. So far I'm thoroughly impressed with the investigative research that was used to compile this man's convictions and his ability to lead an army during WWII.
There wasn't much to do when I got home as the gardens and yards where soaked so after vacuuming I sat and read until lunch time when Amy brought GG, Sam and Eliza. Both kiddo's were having and attitude for some reason and finally they got back to being their normal selves after eating. I've never seen little Eliza pitch such a hissy fit but she was having nothing to do with either of us which is really not like her. Finally she settled down and was her old charming smiley self and she climbed up on my lap several times wanting to watch videos on the lap top until they left to pick up Ava from school.
Nancy took her mom, GG shopping and then to her house so I just read. The sun finally broke through and cleared up the skies but a strong breeze brought some cooler temps from the north. I picked our first batch of snow peas or sugar peas as some call them and we added them along with fresh mushrooms to the cubed chicken in a stir fry that we put over Jasmine rice for supper, Yeow was that ever delicious. I reached 184 lbs this morning for the first time since I don't know when and now with just 4 pounds to go I will have reached my goal. I just want to maintain that weight or mainly keep this spare tire deflated and really I haven't missed the sweets, chips and crackers. I do miss the bread especially the pumpernickel when we have sandwiches, oh well. I have cut down on my portions as well which is big for me as I'm use to cleaning up what's left in the pots and pans. Now I just eat that the next day for lunch. Nancy even made a comment that the spare tire doesn't look as big. We both are on a weigh in daily now that we have a new set of bathroom scales.
Well after the clean up we settled into learn that our potus invited a ruthless Muslim killer from Africa to the annual prayer breakfast in Washington and mention the ISIS killers are an example of what the Christians did in the Crusades 800 years ago. Give me a break as this man has no intention of keeping the homeland safe and will provide excuses for these radicals Islamists who murder, rape and terrorize. What kind of people burn alive their captives in this modern era and then video tape it to be shown all over the world. That was a rhetorical question I should answer myself; the same kind of people who take airplanes and fly them into buildings killing themselves and thousand of other innocents all in the name of their "religion of peace".
For those of you who are responsible for these government leaders I hope you can sleep at night and when these radicals come knocking on your door remember what your lack of conviction created. We(USA) are in for some rude awakenings if we continue to allow this leadership to lead us down the road of destruction and hopefully with the new congress someone will step up and see what is happening in our land. Every chance I get to write my representatives in the congress I do and let's not be timid here we are being infiltrated by these who want to see us(USA) and our way of life destroyed. We now have race, anti-police, class warfare and now the Christian religion being used to divide the nation. We are seeing what this leadership in D.C. is doing to "fundamentally change the nation" as he promised in his campaign speeches, Wake Up America before we have lost it all to these secular progressives on the left, LATER
