Thursday Morning July 17th

Well Wednesday was another wet start of the day with rain during the early morning hours and then fog  so heavy you could barely see the surrounding landscape until after lunch. We were off to Sparta to run some errands and then to shop for when the Ross Family arrive back from Tennessee this evening. I started the day much the usual with a before 6 rollout to my routines that start with some quiet times to honor my lord, Jesus, give thanks for another day and to lift up several by name for comfort and healing, all seem to be holding with this post. After my posts on social media I headed out to stretch on the back porch before walking the yards to check on the gardens. So far knock on wood the deer have stayed away as I've notice no damaged to any of the gardens and flower beds which is quite unusual.

The squashes are maturing as are the cucumbers and I'm harvesting daily along with some herbs for my salad bowl. The 'maters are getting large and hopefully with start to ripen, probably when we are gone for a few days next week they will come in, oh well. The ground is holding moisture so we are good in that regard as yesterday during the day it stayed dry with no rain fall. The grasses are going to need mowing before we leave for Woodstock a week from today.

I made a stop at the library while Nancy shopped in Sparta proper of course that didn't take long for her but I picked up 3 books for myself and then we headed to Food Lion for another stock up and found a good buy on sweet corn at 4 for a buck. We had them and a grilled pork chop for our supper after a salad for lunch and oatmeal with lots of pecans, cinnamon, wine berries and a banana. So we ate healthy for the day except she made chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing for the Ross grands and of course we had to try one after supper.

I piddled around on the computer watching the world news with Israel and those terrorists will just not stop trying to eliminate them and so the IDF is taking it to them once again in Gaza and now Syria. I hope they bomb these radicals back to the stone age. It got rather warm and humid in the afternoon so I stayed basically in the a/c until after supper when we checked all of the gardens and flower beds and sat a spell on the front porch enjoying the nice breeze as the evening was quite pleasant. We decided to play hand, knee and foot and while I was ahead going into the final 4th round, she pulled it out once again as I could never get one of the 5 required books, oh well. It was almost 10, so I hit the shower and was soon ready for some horizontal lab shortly there after, LATER
