Well Saturday started out raining in the early morning hours then a break for a few hours before we had some lite showers and then another gully washer around 4'ish for a couple hours. Sure wish the wind would blow some of this out to the Left Coast of California and Colorado as they are having some large dangerous wild fires caused by lightning strikes.
I stared the day out much the usual with a 6'ish rollout to my morning routines that start with the cup of hot tea laced with turmeric while I posted this ramble then to some quiet time with my Creator and Lord lifting up several name and giving thanks. Little grandson Huck is healing and doing much better after an over night stay in the hospital due to some complications from a minor surgery last Thursday. Everyone else seems to be doing as well as can be expected due to ages and prior health issues. I have just 2 more days of this Eliquis script for the minor blood clot in the left leg. I'm back to hiking daily and doing a little more physical activities and feeling all most new.
We did some piddly house cleaning chores as we were having the young family of Katelyn, Jake and baby Skylar for supper and games. We have grown fond of them and we are now getting smiles from Skylar. Jake will become my go to guy for when I need some muscle and help with issues arising from being here in the mountains. He is planning on taking out another dozen or so large trees around the cabin this winter when the sap goes down which will benefit him with heating his house and then benefit me will getting rid of these potential trees falling or being blown down on the cabin.
I did some baby backs on the grill and they turned out delicious and the meat fell off the bones. Nancy made a potato salad that was superb and then we had half runner beans and crusty bread. Katelyn made a very delicious key lime Pie and it was as good as a store bought one. After the cleanup which I did while she breast fed Skylar we settled into some game playing. We taught them Hit or Miss which is a fun game once we understood the scoring and then the best of 7 in Sequence. The girls were winning 3-1 but we gave back and whupped them 4-3. It was going on 10'ish when we called it a night and they headed home in the dark, rain drenched atmosphere. We will see them for church this morning as they attend Cornerstone.
It wasn't long until the shower was calling my name and then some horizontal lab, LATER
