Well we are watching this hurricane that is hitting Florida with tons of rain and wind. We are hoping it passes to the west of our place. It's now a major Cat 4 storm and doing lots of damage. Pray for those in harm's way.
I started the day on Tuesday with a 6'ish rollout to my routines that start with some quiet moments to honor my LORD, give thanks for another day and to lift several up by name for comfort and healing. All seem to be holding as of now. It was another wet foggy day until late afternoon when we finally saw the sunshine briefly at times. I did manage to walk a couple of times around the property for exercise and even Nancy joined me for the afternoon walk. It felt good to use those hiking muscles. I was able to harvest some peppers and cucumbers and another pint or so of blue berries but the rest of the gardens were too wet to get in. I need to harvest half runners and October beans today if it dries off enough and then to mow the yards. If not it will have to wait until next Tuesday when we get back from Woodstock, Va.
We did a lot of reading through out the day as well as watched the weather channel with this storm in the Gulf. Nancy made a delicious zucchini pie for our supper which is not a dessert but an oh so good main dish. We used our peppers, zucchini and tomatoes and we have enough leftover for our early supper today as we have our small group at Cornerstone at 6. We will run some errands before hand and then tomorrow Thursday we will head out for a 5 day adventure, LATER
